Angels activate Jared Walsh, DFA Brett Phillips, Ryan Tepera released

It’s a good day for the Angels, getting Walsh back and Moniak now the 4th outfielder.  I’m surprised but pleased since I thought maybe around the all star break we’d see Phillips released.

It's nice to have depth. Releasing MLB quality players is something we haven't done in awhile.

Philips did not add OF depth. He was a pinch runner and elite defender. Angels OF or Ward, Trout and Renfroe all good defensive players. 1.2 mill for a pinch runner.

Trout is league average defender at this point. He should be in left in a few years.
