Because of what Manfred said about Arte? I'd be more than cool with it then.

no, because it would give us enough wins to get into the playoffs.

* about having a ghost runner in extra innings; i don't really care what manfred said about arte.

nope, not at all. just curious since everyone here seems to hate the idea.

what if the idea of a ghost runner helps us win more games? that's the thought behind my question, nothing more, nothing less.

He likes him cause he spends.

Truthfully I don’t think Arte is as terrible as currently perceived, he just has one really fatal flaw in how much he meddles or handcuffs baseball ops. If be stepped back and let others have more influence he’d be in the upper-tier of favorable owners.

He gave away in his answer why he liked him: "He had an amazing run over a number of years where he was drawing more than 3 million people."

The sad thing is, 3 million people is underachieving the attendance the Angels are capable of. If they were winning and had a quality ballpark to go along with Trout and Ohtani, they'd get like 3.5 million fans per year.
