Abreu scares me a little.  He's 36 before next season starts and his power dropped pretty dramatically this season.  He's walking more than he used to and he's K'ing less--but part of me worries that he'll just completely fall off the cliff next year or the year after.  I imagine he'll probably be looking for close to $20M AAV, too.

They almost got the 9 best hitters in the lineup at the same time. Swap Adell with Rengifo and it would have been the rare (if any) times they've done that this season.

Abreu had a really weird season --the underlying data suggests he should have seen a lot more power totals..  Check out his Baseball Savant ranks..

The concern for me is his defense.  Dude is legitimately an awful defensive 1B.

White Sox are not letting Abreu go, he will sign with them.
