The Yankees have been mediocre for the last month, while the Angels just swept one of the top teams in the AL on the road.

 

Which means they will handily win this series.

What would be pretty awesome is if the Yankee fans start cheering MVP when Judge is in the on deck circle and Ohtani steps out of the dugout, faces them and doffs his hat in recognition then steps back into the dugout. That would be a priceless moment.

They should expect to be butthurt then. 

I posted this in the game day thread late Saturday night but I think it bears repeating, with how much a lot of people here hate the A'ths (I actually like the A'ths you gotta give credit to a team who's always getting dumped on plus they have the greatest uniforms in all of sport) I think this shines some light on their commentators who I enjoy. 

They brought up the Judge/Ohtani MVP discussion and the color commentator talked about Ohtani's win record/ERA/K's per inning pitched and then said "and I'm looking to find that line for Aaron Judge, but I don't see his ERA, his WHIP, I don't know if it got lost in the paperwork or something but I can't seem to find it..."

Basically saying what a joke it is to even consider anyone but Ohtani and to anyone who's in question about who should get it.
