Good for them! They gave up their top three prospects, but that's what it takes to get a legit starting pitcher.

Dear God, my trip to Seattle keeps getting worse and worse.

Ohtani, Syndergaard and others could be gone by the time I go back next weekend, in addition to not having Trout.

Chuck what was the deal ?

Three of their top five, for a year and a half of an ace.

Good market to sell in.

Shohei would return a fortune. I don’t think anyone could meet it, tbh.

The only three teams that could give up a blend of players/prospects for Ohtani are the Padres, Yankees and Dodgers IMO. The Mets maybe, but I want Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil too.

You want a generational talent, you're going to feel the pain.

Feels like we gave up a lot, but prospects are prospects and who knows how the hell they'll turn out.

Honest question though, do you think starting pitching was more of a concern or your offense?

no playoff team is going to dismantle it's playoff roster to get anybody.

You gotta be creative.

For instance, send them Walsh and we get Alonso.

Send them Fletcher we get McNeil. Send them Marsh or Adell, we get Nimmo. Send them Suarez or Lorenzen, we get Peterson. That type of shit.

We also get their top three prospects in Alvarez, Baty and Vientos.
