It's two good position players, but the pitching return is light. Both those guys end up in relief. All in all, it's a pretty standard return, I think.

The only three teams that could give up a blend of players/prospects for Ohtani are the Padres, Yankees and Dodgers IMO. The Mets maybe, but I want Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil too.

no playoff team is going to dismantle it's playoff roster to get anybody.

Kinda beneficial for Dipoto to ‘overpay’ for Luis as the first strike, sets the price really high for other teams now in what they turn to acquire, and I don’t think they really hurt their farm very much, despite the big price paid.

For instance, send them Walsh and we get Alonso. 

Send them Fletcher we get McNeil. Send them Marsh or Adell, we get Nimmo. Send them Suarez or Lorenzen, we get Peterson. That type of shit.

We also get their top three prospects in Alvarez, Baty and Vientos.

Drunk on vacation. Here’s my opinion. Wow I’m glad the M’s paid that much. I think it’s an overpay. I don’t think the M’s are a Luis Castillo away from contending for a chip. But also good for them for being in a position to feel like they are. I wish the Angels were in that position.

No. Our offense sucks. But Haniger comes back soon that should help a little bit.

Yep and that’s the extent of my investment, whereas before I’d religiously watch every Angels game and usually a good chunk of at least one other one every day
