Honestly, man.  There are so many families out there desperate to adopt, if we spent more time educating people about adoption I think we would be in a good place.

As a parent, and I am sure all the other parents on this board can attest, there is nothing in life that compares.  There are so many people out there wanting to be parents that cannot, give them a chance instead of aborting a 20+ week old fetus.

For me it has nothing to do with religion, more of responsibility.  The more we give people the easy way out, the more they will not consider the consequences.

Logically, the introduction of or act of voting for this kind of a bill when knowing that it won't become law is pretty much a terrible idea for anybody that thinks life begins at conception.

What any group believes does not make it fact.  There are numerous "beliefs" as to when life begins, none can claim any absolute fact, other than opinion.

Im not supporting this legislation, but i think the bigger issue is one group forcing their beliefs on others, which is what this is all about.

Every single person forces their beliefs on others. Every single piece of legislation forces a belief on others. If you say that abortions are legal until birth, you are pushing your belief that it's up for the mother to decide when life begins for her unborn child. What makes that belief any more valid than the belief that an unborn child should be protected after 5 months of pregnancy?

What are you afraid of? Surely, the woman won't see the baby growing inside of her and have second thoughts. Because it's not really a baby.

It's a medically unnecessary procedure forced upon a women regardless of whether or not her physician deems it necessary. It's none of your ****ing business what the women thinks.

I never said it was. I just know that any humane person considering an abortion would likely have a change of heart if they saw the "thing" growing inside of them via an ultrasound.

Any humane person considering an abortion has already considered the "thing" growing inside of them.

This is just one more way for the right-wing whack jobs to humiliate any woman who would consider an abortion.

I'm surprised we haven't seen legislation requring doctors show sperm under a microscope to any male considering a vasectomy.  I wonder why?

Way to dehumanize anybody that disagrees with you.

I had no idea that vasectomies prevented the male body's ability to produce sperm.  It's fascinating what left wing science will teach you.
