LAT: Angel Stadium land sale one step closer to being finalized after judge’s ruling

Here's the story, though there's not a whole lot more to it at this point:

https://www.latimes.com/sports/angels/story/2022-05-16/angel-stadium-land-sale-anaheim-mayor-corruption-investigation

"In an affidavit, an FBI agent specifically said Sidhu “has attempted to obstruct an Orange County grand jury inquiry into the Angel Stadium deal.”

Sounds like Sidhu needs to be in prison

Yeah, Shaikin massively expanded the article after I first posted the link.  Sidhu looks pretty terrible.  This is just one part that stood out to me (though the article does say it's unclear from the filing whether an offer like this was ever actually made to anyone with the Angels):

"That, according to an FBI affidavit filed Monday in Orange County Superior Court, was because Sidhu wanted to see the deal through to solicit a campaign contribution from the Angels.

“We’ll push them at least [to] have a million dollars,” Sidhu said, unaware the FBI had arranged for the conversation to be recorded. “You know, for [an Angels official] to say ‘no’ is bad.”

I'm sure there's plenty of other stuff they do not even know about yet. So many of these people get into politics just for the wealth and power. It will never stop but they should be held accountable for their BS

I believe that's called quid quo pro. But according to a large percentage of folks that's not an impeachable offense.
