as of yesterday, LA had counted only 77% of the votes for mayor. that's unacceptable.

Yes but mostly in the form of mother-in-laws filling out (R) ballots for the whole family.

Maybe Democrats and Republicans can work on a bipartisan revitalization of the Voting Rights Act. Democrats can give in to voter ID* and a federalized system that counts ballots faster in future elections. Republicans can give in to ways that make it easier for people to vote and making election rules consistent across states.

 

 

*And for those without a valid ID already, they can apply for a free voting ID.

It’s a lot considering the total vote count. I’m not saying we need to end mail in voting. The mail ins need to stop before Election Day. These things should be in and totaled at least a week in advance. Election Day needs to be in person only with no secret unaccounted stash trickling in from the post office or cars dropping 100 mail in ballots each. One vote for one id

Former Vice President Joe Biden maintained a lead in Arizona over President Donald Trump, but his margin shrunk in a second batch of results posted early Thursday.

These results consisted mainly of mail ballots from Maricopa County dropped off at vote centers on Tuesday. 

10 p.m.: More Maricopa County votes expected around 11 p.m.

The batch of results posted around 7 p.m. Wednesday consisted of about 76,000 Maricopa County ballots — likely early ballots sent to the county on Monday and Tuesday.

Trump won the batch of ballots by a roughly 58-40 margin, narrowing Biden's lead in Arizona to 79,000 votes, from more than 90,000.

Trump will need to replicate that performance across all the remaining 530,000 votes left to count in the state to overtake Biden. 

Another batch of Maricopa County results is expected around 11 p.m.

Most libs lack the ability to think big picture. Trump lost a 600k vote lead with mail in voting dumps within hours. My point is we need to id voters and count these well in advance of election night. 2020 changes the way we vote and we need to change our security strategy to keep election integrity. Even Nate the great admired dems don’t win without these ballots and can see why trump was suspicious. we have procedures in place on Election Day and mail in voters need to be subjected to the same scrutiny.
