Nick Rolovich was fired as head coach at Washington State because he refused to comply with the COIVID vaccine mandate required of all state employees. Rolovich tried to claim a religious exemption, and he threw a fit when it wasn't granted - although he is Catholic, and the Pope has encouraged people to vaccinate.

He is also the states highest paid employee at about $3 million a year.

Thats a lot of money to lose on morals.  I wonder what he’ll be thinking when this all goes away in a while?  “Damn, I may have made a rash decision.”

The first College Football Playoff rankings come out tonight.  It will be interesting to see how the first poll is ranked.   Obviously Georgia will be the undisputed top pick.  From there, I'd expect Alabama to be next.

From there though, some serious discussion will be taking place.  Cincinnati, Ohio St., Michigan St., and Oklahoma all can be considered for the other 2 spots.  Of course, this all means nothing at this point, as the Big 12 and SEC will be knocking each other off in the next month or so, but for a team like Cincinnati who has one quality win on their resume, SMU losing last week doesn't help their cause.  Luke Fickell had to be pulling for SMU against Houston last Saturday seeing that SMU was going to be their only remaining "quality" team left.

We will find out later tonight, before Game 6.

As I stated, I thought MSU would be 3 and Oregon would be 4, but seriously, this poll will change many times.  Who cares?

Honestly, Cincinnati as low as they are means their win over ND means nothing and by SMU losing to Houston, it means Cincinnati probably won’t make it….

Who knows?

If anybody is looking for a defensive coordinator who can't scheme to stop anything and will make short work of destroying your program, Florida has made Todd Grantham available (about two years too late, but thanks anyway from your loyal alumni). The 127th ranked rushing team in the country ran for over 300 yards against his D, and his team just lost by 23 against a team starting a third string QB who had never started in an FBS game (he was an FCS transfer). His defenses were notorious for poor positioning in pass coverage, and teams consistently converting third and long against them. On one touchdown pass in the South Carolina game Saturday night, there was no defender even in the picture when the receiver caught the ball in the end zone.

Last year Florida's offense was good enough to cover for many of the defensive shortcomings. This year it isn't.

The line forms at the left. Please take a number and then be seated. Wait for your name to be called.

Look at the bright side, you were ranked in the preseason polls.

After a loss at Kentucky (Florida's first since 1984), Dan Mullen made the point that Florida outgained them in total yardage. Funny, but that doesn't seem to count on the scoreboard.

PAC12 football is such a clusterfuck.

UW beat reporters are reporting that Jimmy Lake is soon to be out at UW after last weeks  “incident” with his player.

That could mean that both PAC12 Washington schools may be looking for new head coaches before the season is over.

Indeed @Lou.  A clusterfuck.

Let's recap: a coach gets fired after 2 weeks ...another for refusing to get vaccinated ... another hits a player ... 2 players getting shot (1 fatally) after games ... a game needing to be rescheduled because of Covid ...

oh, and I haven't even mentioned the shitty football being played.
