I guess he proved to be better than Ward and Rengifo, so the metrics seem to be correct.

Best thing to 'redeem' this season would be to totally tank, get a high draft pick, and wake up team management to revamp this team.

Bunch of guys need to be jettisoned to start.

Watching some comedy provided by the Blue Jays. A first baseman named Dick Stuart, who once played for the Pirates, Angels and Dodgers, among other, was nicknamed "Stonefingers" for his marvelous glove work. Vladdy Jr. must by now have earned the right to be called "Stonefingers Jr." He couldn't handle an easy pickoff throw and the runner who should have been out by 10 miles reached second.

Maddon not even close.  The only time I saw Scioscia remove a starter before finishing 5th inning if we were getting shelled.  

If anything Scioscia kept them in too long.

I can see him being better OF than Rengifo and Ward.  Offensively he wasn't close to Ward.

When they picked up Eaton they had 2 outfielders healthy, Lagares and Ward.  Neither Lagares or Ward were expected to be everyday players.  We were having Gosselin, Rengifo and Wong play the outfield.  Signing Eaton made sense.  With Upton healthy, Adell and Marsh here, you could probably send Eaton packing.
