Ohtani needs to play the OF after he’s done pitching

Unless the Angels are blowing out the other team, there’s absolutely no reason to take out an MVP-caliber hitter.  Sure, there is a risk of injury. But, With Trout gone and Pujols, errr l, I mean Rendon having a disappointing season, this offense is average at best without Ohtani.

Then what happen if he pulls something or get hurts? 

I thing having him be a 2 way player is enough. No need extra ware a tear in the outfiled. We need his Pitching and His bat, not defense.

Or maybe Joe should have an extra position player on the days he pitches and start that AAA shuffle of having a bat over an arm only on days he pitches and hits.

Maybe the Angels shouldn't play NL rules and use the DH spot properly.

Maybe the offense should step up when Ohtani pitches so this is a non-issue.

What are Ohtani's stats when he hits as a pitcher. Seems like he really doesn't hit as well when he pitches.
