I think Tampa is pretty much spent but they won't go quietly. The Avs and Oilers split in Edmonton then the Avs finally finish off a series at home

You know what. If I had to place a bet on one of the two coming back, I would bet on Edmonton. 

I don't think either will. But I think if the Oilers get hot and put Colorado on their heals, that's the most likely turn around scenario I see.

Either way, I think both Tampa and Edmonton need some old fashion 'Let's even this up a bit' help from the refs to get back in contention.

The concern now is that Edmonton is gonna play nasty now that they know they can't win. I could see several fights breaking out next game

Depends on if Kane gets the gate.  That would take quite a bit of bite out of Edmonton.

Haha.  This is a choke job on the Oilers in full display tonight.  Almost as bad as when the Ducks scored three on them in the last minutes of a playoff game.

How the hell do you give up 4 goals in the third period of an elimination game where you enter with a 2 goal lead? This is why you have to roll four lines so the big boys aren’t gassed at the end

No surprise the Refs gave Edmonton the power plays they did, while whiffing on some obvious calls against the Oilers. Oh well, that's the NHL. They're not as bad as they used to be, but...

Colorado looks really strong. Either Tampa or NY will have a tough time being competitive. Best chance would probably be Tampa - if they could get Point back reasonably healthy. Right now, it looks like taking Colorado past 5 games would be a success.

I think Smith gave at least 2 of the 4 games to Colorado.  Tonight, how do you let McKinnon beat you like that with a defender protecting the middle.  And then flailing around, one time falling backwards.  He's going to be 41 next season.

That Toronto and Edmonton probably need goalies is going to make the market for average FA's nuts.

The worst one was the Rantanen 5 holer on the PP. 

The Avs still haven't lost a road game in the playoffs. 

Win or lose they haven't wrapped up a series in Denver since their playoff streak started in 2018

This is really Colorado's SC to lose.  Only chance for the Rangers, is if Shesterkin goes in absolute god mode.  Tampa will give the Avs some trouble, because you don't become back to back SC champs on good looks.  But on paper, Colorado should win easily over both.

Conspiracy theory here. While Kadri was surely hurt and likely to miss a few games, allowing him to be spotted exiting the arena with a cast on his wrist was an optical effort to push Kane's suspension up a notch. I firmly believe he plays game 1 of the finals
