How many jobs have you had?

Recommended Posts

Wendy's Drive Thru guy - 6 months

Pizza Delivery guy - 2 months

Camelot mini-golf guy - 1 year

Mainly Seconds (pottery store on Tustin at 22fwy) stock guy. 3 months

Auto-Auction processing guy. 1.5 years

Dish Network sales guy.

Legal Copy Service account manager. 5 years

Current gig - 13 years

8 jobs.  That doesn't seem like a lot.

Only job I interviewed for and didn't get was disneyland. Was way too manly.

If you read this backwards, Adam has really fallen on some tough times.

Adam must be hiring, and he's tricking people into typing their entire resume into the message box.

Always hiring. If anyone knows an HR director looking for work in OC let me know.

Since I got out of the military I've had 6 jobs in 38 years.

I had one job for 12 years, another for 9 years, one for 7 years, and my current job I've been at for 5.

All were manufacturing or engineering roles.

Years ago when I was at Northrop, I had a colleague who spent 20 years in the Air Force, then 20 years at Northrop. So he had full double-pension and retired at 60.

That guy was a trouper who just kept his head down and did whatever he was asked to do. Smart.

I was in the Air Force for a few years but it wasn't really a good fit. I was out after one enlistment.

I should have stayed at Northrop for 20 years but after I got my degrees there wasn't an obvious career path so I moved on.

That was such a great opportunity though, working for Northrop. They paid for my education.

I'll still get a small pension after 12 years working there. Only like $800 per month. No other company I worked for offered a pension. It's just 401(k) savings etc.
