I'm having a few friends and family over for thanksgiving. None of them are bringing Mac and Cheese. Good friends bring wine or beer or some good bourbon but assholes bring some sort of disgusting pasta salad with kale that no one eats.

You can definitely get creative with mac and cheese but at what point does it go from slightly heavy side dish to million calorie casserole? I think that happens as soon as you include an ingredient not explicitly implied in the name of the dish

It's something tired housewives make for the kids and cut up a few hot dogs in it to call it a meal, then settle back with that goblet of wine and watch them eat like dogs. All the while thinking about how their husbands off on another business trip to Chicago on a $250 expense account, eating steak that room service brought up with a far more expensive wine while he gets plastered and starts a thread on Angelswin about the riots outside his hotel.

What's weird is I don't get any alerts when you tag me. I thought I saw something else in another thread, but never got the alert.

I've had a sore throat the past few weeks. Figured it would be best to stay home. Plus, I get to be a rebel and make a steak, mashed potatoes, and asparagus at home for Thanksgiving.
