We don't need any position players really, it's all pitching.  Just a decent MLB hitting backup infielder is all, Stassi is a stud.  Rengifo looks a lot better now.

It's a shame this season is already coming to an end, as I think we are starting to see some nice in-season improvements from a series of players.

Bundy, Walsh, Ward, Mayers, Stassi .. a number of guys are showing some great potential and can, hopefully, build upon their success this season.

Canning pitching like an Ace. Now if he stops over throwing and i doesn't get out mechanics he could live up to his hype.

So we basically need to replace Teheran (we have a lot of good pitchers in the wing as well), acquire a decent backup/everyday infielder, and focus our resources on the bullpen from there

In terms of position players, I think we could see this group next season:

Catcher: Stassi

IF:  Walsh, Rengifo, Fletcher, Rendon

OF:  Trout, Upton, Ward

DH:  Ohtani* (I think he'll learn a position, whether it's RF or LF, but will still mainly be DH)

Bench:  Bemboom, Barreto, Pujols, Thaiss

That should make for a fairly solid offense.  The defense might be questionable, though.

Replace Teheran with either Bauer (if Arte feels like spending) or someone like Gausman, who'll make or a solid mid-rotation SP.

Bundy, Gausman, Heaney, Canning, and Barria should be very solid.  If Ohtani can possibly recover his 2018 form, then we're in great shape.

It wasn't a 3-Day test match. It was a T20 match in the IPL .
