I mentioned in the Thaiss 2B thread, that I wonder if Joe is trying to make him into another Zobrist.

2B Tuesday, LF Wednesday, DH today

Thaiss in 2019 at age 24 was a much better hitter than Zobrist at age 25 (first MLB season for both, around 160 PAs for both).   Thaiss’ OPS was well over 100 pts higher.

I wonder what took so long bringing Thaiss up?  Also, I have to wonder what is going through Albert's mind when he sits behind Walsh when a number 4 like Gibson is pitching.

I hope he thinks he might be more useful as an assistant hitting coach next year....an expensive one for sure but more help to the club than riding the bench....

Shohei sitting against a RHP. A part of me wants them to shut him down for the rest of the season. If he hasn't figured it out this far into the season then he won't figure it out and is only digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole.. He has developed so many bad habits at the plate this year. He bails out way early way too much and his hips fly open at least 2 times every at-bat.
