Everyone has already seen my idea.

Not all successful GMs came from being GM somewhere else.

Of course, we’ve been frustrated by the previous three GMs hired, two of which had no GM experience and the third (JeDi) had very little actual GM background.

All I know is, my choice built not one but two powerhouse farm systems that brought MLB success ultimately.  Think Stoneman when talking about Logan White, elite strong at scouting and development.

Dave Dombrowski would bring back the JeDi days.   Oh, h_ll no!!!!!!!!

Dombrowski was a player development guy, one if the best actually.  He actually got his start in the game under Roland Hemond who Angels fans likely remember was the team's first scouting director. He worked under Stoneman in Montreal and was hand picked to be the GM.  That 1994 Expos team that was gutted was his baby...  Dude left, built the Marlins then built the Tigers, he didn't turn into a farm killer until directed to do so by ownership in Detroit.   Angel fans are too quick to shit on the guy IMHO.

Maybe so, it would be like the luck with the franchise though, that he becomes the Tigers’ version and not the Expos and Marlins version.

I just want to see a steady farm system producing enough MLB players so that the big splash FA signings are only necessary when it’s the right person and not just a reactionary signing.

Arte.   If he moves on from Eppler it's bc he wants results yesterday...  If that's where Arte is then its definitely the Tigers/Sox version.

If the likes of the Braves, Dodgers, Yankees, White Sox, and Padres are in on Clevinger I don’t think we have a shot.  They all have much more valuable trade pieces.

Yank dont really have the talent. Frazier is the only piece that might have value. Their  farm system has allways  been  over hyped, outside of the 17yr old, they have a 25 year in the top 100 ( only for the yanks), and than Garcia seem to be trending the opposite way, he fell in the latest update and is ranked 100.

Dodgers are a concern, but they tend to not overpay.

White sox, same division, it's going to take a mega package to get Clev.

Braves and Pads are the big concerns.
