BTW,  all the lower courts already ruled he had to release them to congress, and so he appealed to the SC.

Only a full release of tax returns can provide the public with clear information as to potential conflicts of interest and whether there could be potential entanglements with foreign governments and foreign businesses.

I'd say they are pretty important.

They aren't important, but the fact that he's going to such lengths to make sure they aren't released is what makes it all sketchy. Plus, he said he would release them. 

If Cons think there's no issues then imagine the ownage he would bestow upon the libs if his tax returns are perfectly fine. Rachel Maddow would cry on live television.

He likes bigwig gov but I think he is more of a tolerated member of rep establishment.
