But he made it political and the implications are not good. It has nothing to do with "gun control", especially since Bernie has been on record saying taking guns away is unconstitutional.

I dont read it like that.  I read it as him thinking he might not be able to own or shoot guns when Sanders  is president.   I dont think that will happen but I get nothing sinister

I don't see it happening, but it certainly is a sentiment that a lot of people (especially in my area of the country) often express. I think it's mainly BS tough guy talk, but I'm sure there would be a few nutjobs that see "fighting socialism" as their "patriotic duty" or some BS. But yeah, I highly doubt it would ever turn into anything more than that. The fact that people feel comfortable expressing that so openly though is not a great sign, IMO.
