What if officials publicly announced planned reforms that addressed some of the concerns around police departments ? Maybe something that makes it impossible for assholes like the guy in Minnesota to continuously skate until they finally get caught doing something so egregious that it triggers massive civil unrest. 
 

police are rarely held accountable for their transgressions.  Reform needs to start there.  I’m not under the illusion that this kind of thing will immediately clear up the current rioting.  But maybe it’s something for the more earnest protestors.  There are real grievances that need to be addressed.  Not later, right now.

Nothing will quell these assholes other than blunt force. It’s not the civil rights people burning and looting. It’s the anarchists.
