I have been begging for something like google glass since smartphones came out.  Only makes sense that you have a HUD for your smartphone.

I got to try Google Glass out yesterday for about a half hour.  I have a colleague that is in the beta program.  I wish I had more time because I felt like I was still getting used to them when  I had to give them back.

 

It does feel kind of weird pointing a camera at whoever you are looking at.  The rest of it was pretty cool, the swipe control for paging back and forth worked well, I never had a time where I had to do it twice.

 

The head control is kind of funny if you see someone else doing it.  You angle your head up to temporarily turn the screen on and you quickly nod your head to turn it off.

 

Anyway I wish I had more time, I spent most of the time just learning how they work.  Not sure it is worth spending $1k on, probably wouldn't stop me if I could though.

I watched the new one last week. I found myself waiting the whole movie for that line. Such a disappointment.
