After the hype that Doug White came with and his analytical approach I’d love to return to Butcher or Nagy days. 
 

In 2011 with two great starters, one good starter, and two mediocre starters they allowed 630 runs under Butcher. (Weaver, Haren, Santana, Pinero, Chatwood).
 

In 2020, with two or three great starters and two or three good starters maybe they can do better. (Cole, Ohtani, Bumgarner/Boyd/Syndergaard/Odorozzi, Heaney, Canning, Pena/Sandoval).

Can someone remind me what Butcher’s issues were? I remember Nagy was all “throw your sinker more” in a time when sinkers were getting crushed in the launch angle revolution.

because, per the board,  when he was here our pitching "sucked" and pitchers didn't improve.
