They could but don’t most bounce back seasons really end up being partial bounce backs and are usually precursors to decline. If we need to win now, hoping for bounce back seasons is not a solid plan.

Look at it this way: the offense was average this year, despite Upton and Simmons being injured and sub-par, and Trout missing almost 30 games. Even if nothing changes, they'll be around average again next year. But consider the things that could improve:

*More Trout

*Healthier Upton and Simmons

*Young guys are a year older and more experienced

*Adell and possibly Marsh

*Less or no Cozart, Bourjos, Bour, Lucroy

*Possible upgrade at C

Again, we have to see what Eppler actually does, but at the least the offense should be around average again, but there's a bunch of reasons--not all of which have to come to pass--to think that it should improve.

No offense to the cards and nats, I just see the skanks and stros as too dominant right now.

Nats starting 3 is nasty as hell, but their pen is bad, and the stros and yanks dont have kershaw.
