I believe in rules. if you don't want to follow them, don't sign up to play. if you break them, be prepared to pay the consequences. 

if you like cheaters, learn to accept the penalties when they caught.

For the most part I don't anymore. The amount of money the NCAA brings and withholds from those that earn it for them, then penalizes a player for getting a chicken scratch loan is disproportionate in moral equivalency.

Sorry to see Chase get suspended. He broke the rules, but the rules need to be updated. How does buying his girlfriend a plane ticket violate anything about his status as a student or an athlete? It’s a stupid rule. 

It reminds me of when Tiger Woods was at Stanford and Arnold Palmer took him out to dinner one night. Tiger got in front of it and repaid Arnie before it turned into a scandal and penalized him or his team. 

Time to fix this stupid rule.

Rules are rules he broke them. There are consequences. Everyone wants a pass these days. Everyone coming out defending this guy like a “me too” movement. That’s why this generation of kid is so damn soft bc there’s no to little consequences for them breaking rules.

Yes they are, tuition isn’t cheap.

Minnesota is 9-0 for the first time since 1904, and now ranked #7.     They admittedly hadn't played a very tough schedule though, before beating Penn State.    It impressed the voters enough though to move up from #17 to #7.

Non-league wins came over South Dakota State and Georgia Southern at home, and Fresno State on the road.   All were really close games, too.

In Big 10 play, only the Penn State and Illinois wins are worthwhile.   Purdue win was meh.   Maryland, Rutgers, and Bugaha are all near the bottom of the Big 10 standings.

My top 6 after the weekend 

1) Ohio State- easily the best team in the nation 

2) LSU- big road win. Won’t have another test till the SEC title game 

3) Clemson- Dabo has his team rolling and under the radar

4) Alabama- Best 1 loss team 

5) Oklahoma

6) Georgia

I recall a female golfer at an unnamed West Coast Conference school who was in trouble with the NCAA for washing her car using "university water". The water was considered an impermissible benefit that was not available to other students. I suppose that the showers in the locker room could be classified the same way.

Sometimes the stupidity of NCAA rules boggles the mind. Tank's story about Arnold Palmer taking Tiger Woods to dinner when he was at Stanford is a prime example.

The only adjustment Sark has ever made was switching from scotch to gin.
