Sometimes the stupidity of NCAA rules boggles the mind. Tank's story about Arnold Palmer taking Tiger Woods to dinner when he was at Stanford is a prime example.

this was a golfer at Portland and the school self-reported the incident to the NCAA (they also charged her $20).

However, it turns out that it was all for nothing as it wasn't an NCAA violation.

Top 7 remains unchanged (LSU, OSU, Clemson, UGa, Bama, Oregon, and Utah).

Oregon/Utah PAC-12 title winner needs some help to get into the playoffs.    Two teams in front of them need to lose. 

Utah's D is ridiculous, take away the 30 allowed to USC and 28 to U-Dub, and they've only allowed 55 pts in the other 8 games.   Should be a classic PAC-12 title game.

I think the winner of the PAC12 has a very good chance of making the playoff. One of LSU and GA will lose and I don't think Bama gets in over them, especially without Tua.

Alabama may lose to Auburn with a backup QB. They only managed three points in the second half against Mississippi State after Tua went down.

One thing that has gone almost unnoticed is the fully predictable situation that is unfolding at South Carolina. At Florida, we had already seen what Will Muschamp does to a football program, and it would seem that being in the same division and seeing it first hand, they would have stayed away. Instead, they hired him and then doubled down by giving him a contract extension, and now he has done for South Carolina what he did in Gainesville - although it took a year longer for him to get there. After losing to Appalachian State a week ago, the Gamecocks clinched a losing season by getting hammered 30-6 at Texas A&M. They are 4-7, and their final game is against Clemson, who will be looking to make a statement for the playoff selection committee.

Of course, one wonders how this could happen, with brilliant strategy like kicking a field goal with less than four minutes left and trailing 30-3 at A&M. I guess that 30-6 sounds much better.

had surgery today. doctors said he should make a full recovery

they're saying the big difference between the two is that Tua was treated immediately at the stadium, while Bo popped his hip back in himself, damaging blood vessels.
