he was acquired for cash considerations or a PTBNL.  anyone know what the end result to out to be? @Jeff Fletcher, perhaps?

Do you remember when you gave me crap about my grammar?

His stuff is very good.

Fastball is firm with good movement and it's effective when elevated
Curve and slider have good depth.  Slider is sharp.  Curve was just enough of an off speed to keep guys off balance.
Change was very good tonight.  good sink with arm side movement.

loses his mechanics pretty easily.  if he were more consistent, he'd be very dangerous.

My concern with him is injury. Both Bridwell and Ramirez crumbled a year after Eppler converted them to the rotation. I know we don’t have a choice right now, but hopefully they find a way to keep him fresh as the summer goes on so he doesn’t become a key piece we rely on only to go down in August after the deadline.

According to the OC Register article this morning, he added the change during the off-season.

If he does ever keep the mechanics consistent enough, a solid #3 in the rotation?
