Glad that they got the bill signed.  I think that they could done more to help themselves if they had got this done faster.  I also don’t understand the point of the 80K hard cap and why they  played games with the $600+$1400 = $2000 BS instead of just delivering exactly what they campaigned on which was the $2000 check.  Who were they negotiating with other then themselves.  They still didn’t get any Republicans.  Democrats being Democrats I guess.  Anyway.  Good that it’s done with.  Now get everyone vaccinated.

I think they could have done a better job of targeting people who really need the stimulus check. A lot of people are just going to let it sit in their checking account, after it is direct-deposited. But when you try to target people you end up with people bitching that they were left out.

here's a great example of a catch-22 from the link you posted:
