Arte's going to love this article...

if the angels' tv contract was based on pujols' signing, then the people at fox have no clue what they're doing. i mean it's good for arte moreno if it's true but that's an incredibly strange stipulation.

It's not like the idea that FSW deal paid for Pujols was conceived by some random internet poster. It was all over the press. I think it was probably a combination of FSW losing the Lakers and signing Pujols. If Arte waited until the Dodgers jumped ship to TWC, he probably would have got even more $$.

Thats not true, I spoke to many cardinal fans that say that Albert wpuld get cold a lot for long stretches then heat up. Hes known as the machine because his numbers somehow are always there at the end. Thats why last year cardinal fans would say dont worry he'll break out of it, he always does. I'm not worried at all the guy is not gonna fall off the map at 33.

My point was that he never had prolonged stretches were he couldnt hit.  He was always consistent...when he did heat up, it was usually by hitting the liners that were doubles to being over the fence.  But, never in the 11 years where I had the pleasure of watching him did I see him go in to a prolonged funk and then catch fire.  That was never him.

Now...the person who could get hot and carry the team...Jimmy Edmonds.  I'm sure Angels fans will hate this, but Jimmy Hollywood was simply awesome.

Don't really like this article, it doesn't do anything for me.

He's stating the same garbage in the same asshat tone as the FOX commentators do when the Angels play on Saturdays.

A better article would have been if this writer actually had any insight into why Albert might be performing this way.

I personally think the team wants Pujols to take care of himself, but I think Pujols wants to play and get through the season first. Not an ideal plan, but I really think his passion to play is what's delaying the inevitable.

He won't fall off the map. I doubt he picks it up this year.

Presuming he's healthy I have no idea what to expect in 2014.

I think Albert ever being totally "healthy" again, is a lot to presume. He had all winter to heal before this season,

and he was hobbling in the second half last season.
