Grew up with her voice on the radio non stop. She had a string of great singles and ones that never made the charts on B sides. One of the few singers albums my father purchased.

And i only know that from the video, because it always used to come.on mtv...in between def leopard and poisen, so it stood out.

Lol, no kidding. I like how they had to make an mtv 2, maybe 3 now (who knows) to play videos.

Went from david lee roth, sting, cyndi lauper and motley crue on a loop of like 8 videos (and that 19 song with the vietnam footage) to the real world. And teen mom. And remote control. Etc etc.

I always lean to the originals over the covers, and Dionne Warwick's Say A Little Prayer is very good. But Aretha's version is fantastic.  The best song she ever did.
