I'm not as well-versed in the whole sabermetronics thingy as some of the posters here, but I would say it is a good thing.

Only 3 teams in the AL have fewer saves than us. We are tied with Detroit for most blown saves. Our pen has the 12th worst WHIP in the AL.

It was a bottom of the strike zone outer third of the plate.   Goldy is on fire lately.  Stop blaming the catcher for everything.  If Trout hit a homer in its because Trout is great.   No one says, “well stupid Zunino called for a fastball”.   Goldschmidt is a very good hitter on a streak.
