Cory Rasmus has been placed on DL with strained right groin

This might have been done so they could open a spot for Cotts. Gentry's DL stint came abruptly and conveniently on the same day as Shane Robinson's opt out as well.

A bullpen with all three of Alvarez, Mahle, and Cotts would be extremely lefty-heavy though, and with how awful the starting pitching has been, there's not a lot of length with Rasmus out. Bringing Achter back would make more sense.

Seriously baseball players are some of the most out of shape professional athletes. How is stretching eating right and staying in peak condition this hard for guys who have if not the highest avg salary one of the top 2 average salaries in all of professional sports. My goodness.

Our DL is definitely better than our starting lineup now. This puts it over the edge. We now have a long relief guy on there. WTF man. These out of shape mother fuckers need to start ST in January.

January? Hell they are being paid huge money to keep their bodies in the best physical shape. Panda showed up the size of an Elephant to spring training, and the dude thought he could just show up and play. Couldn't even fit into his pants. Contracts should definitely not be guaranteed.

Strad, using Trout is a poor example considering he's played 159, 157, and 157 games the last 3 years.

If I were paid millions I would spend all my spare time trying to cut my body fat down to look like the terminator.

If you were paid millions you wouldn't do anything different than you do right now.  Unless you are saying you don't really give your all to the job you have.

The job I have isn't based on physical activity.

I'd like to think I would have the respect for my employer do everything in my power to stay at my absolute physical best if I were one of the highest paid professionals in the world, when it involves high physical activity every day.
