Because of Boras relationship with the Nats, it doesn't surprise me that they were able to get a deal done early.  Nats were gonna be the front runner and now the contract is on the books, it's just another half a year where Stras doesn't have to worry about injury.  

Don't know if I'd have been overly thrilled to have him at that price, but it's kinda bittersweet as he was an obvious fit for us.  

The problem is that it probably cost Chuck a few hundred bucks in site traffic.  

There isn't a player on that FA list I'm overly interested in now.

Honestly, you'd think the angels would have an in with borass. EverytI me I get good seats I see him and his crew at the game. You'd think he would be having dinners with the FO just based on the location and industry alone.

With the Angels way of business.  It would not be surprising if we signed Colon, Dickey, and Guthrie to 3 year contracts as insurance/depth.
