As much as I can't see Choi ever turning into a useful player for this team, at this point we have to give him a chance. After all, what do we have to lose this point? Ortega is not going to be the difference in this team making / missing the playoffs.

Fletcher's explanation made sense. There wasn't room for Nava and Ortega to play every day. One would've been sitting. 

Nava deserves a fair shot and was doing well, and it'll be best to get him back into the swing full-time, and dropping Ortega into a bench role may cool him off. Let him keep getting reps, let Nava get an opportunity, and Choi can keep sitting. In a couple weeks after it's been evaluated they can make a move.
