Still have Terry and Mark chatting away. But I'm off to the Weaverville Joss House with the ghost of Huell.

A little bit of Huell goes a long way.

I remember a show he did from Pink's Hot Dogs. He acted like he never saw a hot dog before. While he was out on the patio he would walk over to a table and ask what the diners were having and then reach down and tilt there food to the camera. lol At the next table the guy had to ask Huell not to touch his food. lol

I don't know what to do with Shoemaker. He has outings like this and his first start of the year, but the two starts in between he gave up 2 earned runs in 12 innings and a whip under 1.

Arrange it so he goes up against the other team's ace. If he pitches like today, it doesn't matter, the team would have lost anyway. But, if he throws a gem, then it like you're getting a free win

Hasn't he pitched relatively well (for a 5th starter) outside of this game?

he's doing what he does.  a blow up start, a couple of decent to good one, and then another blowup.  His era is about 7, so the answer is no.  Two of his four starts have been such that it  gives the team very little chance to win and taxes the pen.

remember last year when we kept waiting for the team to turn a corner and get things going?  and every time we got a little hope, we would crap the bed and be back to square 1.  It was a massive tease the whole season.

I miss having hope like that.

This has been a tough game to watch on several levels. The Angels gave us hope in the bottom of the first only to snatch it back a couple of innings later.
