Adam LaRoche walks away from 13 million dollars

I do not believe Lacockroach has walked away from any money as of yet. All he did was throw a fit and screwed up the White Sox spring training but he is still under contract. I have zero respect for the asshole.

It's possible that one or two of the players complained because the kid wouldn't clean their cleats too.

Why is it a big stink simply because he would rather be with his son?

There are workplaces a parks with dogs and barbecues, bands playing and kids frolicking. He is an adult and should know the difference. Edited by notti

This bothers you on some ethereal level because he isn't complaining and simply walked away.  The only butthurt is coming others.

Why do you give one rip about whether he plays or doesn't or the reason why?  He didn't break a contract.

This has to be one of the stupidest baseball related dramas I can remember. Disrupting the team over this nonsense. White Sox should not have agreed to have him around if they were gonna have an issue with it. LaRoche should appreciate certain boundaries and keep his son out of team meetings and such. They're all idiots here.

On the bright side hopefully this ****s up their season. One less potential wild card challenger.

Hes trying hard to make himself look like super dad of the year. This guy just wants the whole world to know how much he loves his boy. Now that he cant take his son to work what is the kid supposed to do, go to school or socialize with other kids?

sigh, you don't have barely any of the facts.

If he had left without causing a ruckus, called a press conference and said I want to spend more time with family, then fine. But that's not what he did. He turned the entire situation into a circus.

The practice field can be a dangerous place. Errant throws, a batted foul ball, any one of a dozen workplace hazards and Laroche wants his son to be able to wander free. What tune would you be whistling if the kid got seriously injured by a foul ball? What liability do you think the white Sox incur? Is Dad such a cool guy if son is in the hospital with a fractured skull?

This guy is no paragon of parenthood.

You just don't have all the facts. Namely, that Adam LaRoche is a paragon of parenthood.

Enough with you dont have all the facts bs. So if every player decides to bring all their kids with them to ballpark every single day, it should be allowed? Wny not just turn every clubhouse in baseball into daycare for kids.

This guy is a .220 hitter by the way. If it were Chris Sale, he could get away with it. Ken Williams is a genius for doing this. I bet the owner is loving that 13 million hes about to save.
