Gillaspie hot double and at least got the next runner to second when got stuck in the run down. He deserved it. Featherston on the other hand....

Well at least if this team tanks there's some guys id like to see when the Roster expands. Eg. Bandy, Newcombe, Cowart (yeah im surprised I wrote that) etc

I like that optimism. One thing's for sure, they will all be terrible base runners. What about optimism?

Featherston is useless. No playoff contender would just waste an entire roster spot all year on somebody who offers so little to the team. He can't hit his weight....hell, he can't even hit Dee Gordon's weight, and he's an idiot on the bases

I think the question of acquiring Utley is answered, no way, unless you feel he's useful for 2016 and beyond.  There shouldn't be any additional acquisitions this year until we get a permanent GM.  At least the four guys we got didn't consume any valuable assets.  In retrospect, we probably lost a chance to sell off a few players for prospects.
