I think heaney is the most trust worthy pitcher in this staff.

 

Think about this...if Santiago, Shoemaker, and perhaps Richards struggle going forward, we're looking at Heaney as the only reliable starter. Weaver is a wild card, having just returned from his lengthy stay on the DL.

You guys complain about the offense (and rightfully so) but the starting pitching has been just as horrible lately. 5.23 ERA (and rising) the last 14 days.

 

This entire team just sucks.

You're right, but the pitching has sucked only recently. Still 5th in the AL in team ERA, but the offense is 10th in OPS.

Just watched Toronto win their 9th straight against the A's. We don't stand a chance against them, or Kansas City, or Houston, or the Yankees....

Our lineups are the baseball equivalent to Snow White (Trout) and the seven dwarfs.

It feels too much like the Angels aren't doing anything this year. Personally I think the team needs a completely fresh start but I know it won't happen. I'll just be happy to see some new blood in there this year in Houston and Toronto

LOL - 10 Ks for Rodon. Dude sucks. But Angels always seem to make crap pitchers look like Sandy Koufax.

Impossible for this team to go on any sort of sustained run with the offense they have. Too often they just put in absolute junk performances where they're lucky to scrape across 2 runs(usually off a HR by Trout or Pujols or Calhoun)

 

Night in and night out this offense puts this team at a disadvantage right from the start. Pitching hasn't been great lately but it must suck to constantly be pressured to throw up zero after zero because you know you likely aren't going to be getting much run support

Actually, Rodon is one of the top prospects in baseball. Issue is that he's a rookie who has had his ups and downs. Of course, most rookies dominate the Angels because they choose to play by feel rather than by the scouting reports

How is it possible that an offense can be so pathetic.  The one or two chances we get all game to score we blow them.
