Serious question re: Twitter

i had to ask my daughter how to block people that decided to follow me, people i have never heard or seen before in my life.

but i have to admit something embarrassing here . . . i decided to follow one direction on twitter so i could find out concert info in case my daughter asked. i think because of that some in the twitter world have mistaken me for some kind of serious fan and want to follow me. sorry, not interested.

You'd be surprised at some of the weird fetishes out their tank...

I never understood all the people that said that Facebook was going to fade due to rise of Twitter.

Twitter has never had anything going for it that Facebook didn't already do better or couldn't adopt in a relatively easy manner.

Probably because they said the same thing about Myspace and that faded into obscurity.

twitter is good for legit content.

i dont ever post but i follow people in my line of work and its great for that.

facebook is just buzzfeed crap and people's highlight reel photos.

the problem with twitter is that its super wonky to use.

the company has been run awfully. they are WAY too bloated for what they do.

I mean, they have like 4,000 employees. Isn't that overkill for Twitter?

not anymore they don't!

haha yeah its way overkill. they are super bloated.

im sure the engineers they laid off will do alright.

being in the bottom 10% of talent at twitter doesnt look too good, but if they are somewhat decent they will find something else.

so many companies are hiring.

its definitely a good time to be a software engineer in the bay.
