It's not a coincidence.  Right before Dipoto dip his mic drop, everyone agreed that the scouting reports would be given directly to the players.  So they finally got the info they needed to succeed.

Storm, I am a fan of yours, perhaps the only one at this point, but you REALLY need to get off this "Dipoto is wrong for quitting on the team in the middle of a season" tirade you have been on. Obviously things got so bad it was his course of action that he felt was best for everyone involved. I will go back to my belief that professional athletes and former athletes that are still in the sport or more competitive than the rest of us. So if a guy that has been insanely competitive his entire life would quit in the middle of a season, things had to be just plain awful. There is zero chance you are going to change anyone's beliefs on here about the subject, so at this point you are just saying it to get under people's skin.

Wouldn't this also be true of your rebuttal?  Don't we all know where you stand and at this point your repition of this argument is just to get under people's skin?

 

Honestly, I don't think this was handled professionally at all.  Arte, Dipoto and Sosh all have to look at themselves in the mirror and figure out how not to mess things up so badly next time.

Major League Baseball are remarkably efficient at thinking about themselves.

They have careers and families to worry about, which depend on them doing whatever they need to perform.

None of them cared in the least about whether Dipoto and Scioscia were getting along.

Anyone who wanted the scouting information would get it and anyone would didn't would ignore it, which was just as true last week as this week.

The last 4 games have been a fluke. Partly a correction from guys underperforming and partly facing two bad pitching staffs in two hitters parks.
