Got squeezed early and fell apart from there. Pitched from behind the count and the Yankees were aggressive with the fastball. Didn't have command, didn't have poise.

 

He'll be alright though. Just needs to get strike one and go back to a soft pitch more often whether it's the curve or changeup.

Holy hell, people are becoming unhinged...he was an ace last season and suffered a brutal, non-arm related injury. I'm going to give him more than a month of struggling before I give up on him

I've come to the realization that this is not a post-season team.

Dipoto and Ric Wilson have some proving to do.

There is a need to remake the roster to coincide with Trout's contract. Unfortunately, the Pujols and Hamilton contracts are an Anvil around Dipoto's balls. He needs to see what he can get for Wilson, Smith, Aybar and Freese before the deadline. The rough thing is that two of the deepest farm systems are in the same division(Astros and Rangers).

Nope we can't give him time, he gave up six runs in 2/3 of an inning, so we must decide now that he's awful and a mistake.

I'm wondering at this point if he came back too early. IIRC he was very gung ho about making it back by opening day and Sosh was more cautious in his thinking. He's only been back for just over a month and perhaps he would have benefited from a few weeks in SLC just to get his sea legs back.

Even with that he's managed to keep from melting down like this in his other starts. He's shown he can be brilliant. And knowing him he will get his shit together soon because he can't be happy with this. Every single starter has had issues this year. Perhaps there's also something in the coaching right now that is just not working and is screwing all of them up.

Yep, if they are coached correctly they never have bad starts - ever.  It's either that, or they are not drinking enough water.  I love expert analysis.
