We beat TEX 8-4,

That's one. May be the last time we get that many runs. Every team we play, except the Astros, is better in EVERY facet of the game.

So apparently this team can beat the Astros, but not anyone better than them.

To be fair we also beat Texas when Harrison was starting.

 

For the record, Harrison was pitching injured. The Astros beat him in a much more lopsided fashion than we did.

Going forward, this org really needs RIchards and Maronde to step up as mid rotation arms. Price of pitching continues to sky rocket...they can't afford to pay the cream of the crop FA SP every year and this team looks like it needs about 2 really good starters. We've been waiting for years for them to fix the pen to. Yuck

I dislike Dane De La Rosa pitching less than I expected to.

 

It might have something to do with him not having an ERA near Mark Lowe's.

We got him in a trade w/ the Rays for Steven Geltz. Pitching trades with the Rays never end well.

I was really impressed with that leadoff walk, the ones that always seem to come around to score. He looks better than all our other relievers not named Frieri, but I am not sure that is much of a compliment.
