If I want to play roulette, there are plenty of casinos in town where I can slap down a bet. I had rather not do it with my life. The things that you read in the national media are only part of the story. Allegiant is based here, and there are things that are reported in the Las Vegas media that never make the national outlets. It's worse than you think. I firmly believe that it is only a matter of time before they kill a planeload of people, and then there will be outrage about the FAA not grounding the airline after the full story of their safety record is made public.

Yes, those Idaho Falls flights are now out of LAX, but they don't fly in winter anymore so I've been forced to fly United and pay $500...

Why the three dots?

lol, i forgot to include my other thought about Southwest starting LGB service in June.  LGB-OAK only.  Too bad Long Beach people are such nazi's about noise.  They could make a fortune with all the extra flights that would be possible.

What are you looking to do? The ski resorts have closed and it's kind of shoulder season. Probably some deals on hotels right now. You could probably fish and hike but things like rafting and camping would probably be too cold.

The last time that I went, I got a sweet deal at the Jackson Hole Racquet Club on Hotels.com. Really nice condo, went about this time of year.

The "second pilot" was in a different plane. see at :22

Pretty crazy. For my scuba advanced cert we had to do a 100+ ft dive and were asked to do some math on a slate to demonstrate the effect of mild nitrogen narcosis. I was fine but definitely felt some impairment.

This situation reminds me of the plane that decompressed killing the golfer payne stewart and crew. They were unconscious. It just kept flying for hours until running out of fuel. Some business jets now have a safety feature that senses a rapid decompression and puts the plane in a dive down to 15000 feet in a few minutes (not to exceed Vmo).

Another aircraft has disappeared - this time an EgyptAir flight en route from Paris to Cairo. News reports vary on whether the aircraft was an Airbus A320 or a Boeing 737-800. Details sketchy at this point. A news report from CNN says A320, tracking info from FlightAware says 737.
