Joc Pederson is looking like a poor mans mike trout.

Solid speed, defense and power. Gets on base. Strikes out a lot.

The dodgers are so stupid for batting a guy with a .460 OBP 8th.

Instead they have Jimmy Rollins and his .282 OBP leading off.

I don't think even Scioscia would be stupid enough to do that.

Actually, you want a guy who can turn the lineup over hitting 8th. That way, there's less chance of a pitcher leading off an inning with a nearly automatic (unless it's Greinke) out. If Pederson gets on with fewer than two outs, the pitcher can bunt. If there are two outs, then the pitcher is likely to end the inning and the leadoff hitter leads off the next inning.

Although a .460 OPS is pretty wasteful anywhere but leadoff.

The Nationals have kinda sucked even worse than the Angels so far. Based on the players and pitching they had last year and so far this year, I'm wondering how good the really are. Wonder about their clubhouse too.

Nats give up 9 runs to the Braves in the first 2 innings of today's game and the Braves offense is not all that. The saga continues.

Archie Bradley took a liner off the side of his face. Was able to walk off the field but his cheek was swollen up. Scary sight

Ouch!  (photos and video)
