Florida man becomes 1st athlete with Down syndrome to complete Ironman triathlon

A Florida man crossed the finish line over the weekend to become the first athlete with Down syndrome to complete an Ironman triathlon, the Special Olympics announced.

Chris Nikic wore a shirt featuring his motto of “1% better every day,” as he completed the Panama City Beachcompetition Saturday in a moment captured on video.

Lol. Slow down Cholula! First off, they're the worst of the mainstream hot sauces and second, we already have touchless kitchen sinks. The didn't invent shit

If it's anything like touchless paper towel dispensers, touchless soap dispensers, and touchless sinks.  I'll be waving my hands all over for nothing to happen, only to go to another station, and then have the station I was at spilling it's guts all over the place.

glad to hear i'm not the only one who struggles with these things.

we just got new paper dispensers at school. they're the kind that reveal a couple inches of towel and you pull down on it to remove the towel from the dispenser. this usually results in two little pieces of wet paper towel that have torn off being dropped onto the floor. at least it does when i use them.

So you guys are being outsmarted by a device that asks you to do practically nothing?

If you ever attend an aw.com event, you’ll immediately realize how true this is.

Moose in the Timmins area that are more than 50% white are protected by Canada's 1997 Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.

'Spirit' moose killing causes 'outrage'

A rare white moose was illegally killed by hunters in Ontario, prompting outrage and shock among First Nations in Canada.

The bodies of two female moose were found discarded along a service road in Timmins, Ontario, with of them being a sacred white “spirit” moose, The Guardian reported. The other moose had typical coloring.

The white moose, which are not albino, but reportedly get the rare coloring from a recessive gene, are legally protected from being poached in the area under the 1997 Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act. There are signs that warn against killing the animals.

It is unknown how many of the “spirit’ moose are in the area, but a photographer in the area, Mark Clement, reportedly estimates there could be as many as 30 spread out over the region, according to the outlet.

Ford

Ford has released new images and information regarding the unique Max Recline front seat it’s introducing in the 2021 F-150, which converts into a nearly flat surface.

2021_F-150_Max-Recline-Seats_01.gif

To get there, the seatbacks don’t merely recline. As they approach the horizontal position the seat bottom lifts up 3.5-inches to fill in the gap that would be created by a simple recline. The upper part of the seatback can also be extended to act as a neck support.

Ford says the feature provides “business-class comfort” for owners looking to grab a rest during a long workday, and they come with a first-class price, for now.

While the option only costs $340, the seats are currently only available with the high-end King Ranch, Platinum and Limited trim levels offered on SuperCrew trucks, with the lowest-priced model starting at $58,365.
