I've seen this before, but I dig it. The amount of thought that went into it had to be pretty crazy. My guess is he wore it the first and second year, then realized he had worn it two years in a row, then said, "F' it".

I believe Tomfoolery is the right description of the subject's behavior. If I were the principal of that school, he would have been out of line, and in need of a good dressing down!
