He has spoken to Angels General Manager Jerry Dipoto about a possible position.

 

“I want to stay in the game, but I want to figure out a way to spend more time with my wife and kids, especially in the summer,”

I would LOVE to see him back with the Angels in some capacity as a coach! I hope that works out. He really is a class act and a great guy. He seems to be a really positive presence for the team.

Wouldnt have minded him back on the roster this year to sub for Freese late in games.  I know ill get tired of seeing Freese defensively this season.

Maybe because I thought he was a youngster and didn't see him much?

 

Feel like if I tried to make a run in the Majors, this is how my career would go.

 

Seems to have great baseball instincts, which is something we could definitely benefit from on the Angels.

That such a poor hitter could play that long in the big leagues is a testament to what a great teammate and defender he was. I hope he finds a way to stay in the organization.

Definetely fun to watch defensively. Not a whole ton of guys out there that can play that kind of defense, and it will always be underappreciated by the masses.
