But but if the battery is low, you can tell the time for 72 hours.

It is pretty much the same stats as all the other watches out there.  They only last about four hours of heavy use.

seems like an unnecessary use of technology to me, to be honest. 

 

i don't think there's anything you can do with this watch that you can't do already on a phone, and the phone has a much bigger format. i can't imagine trying to use my big meaty fingers on a screen the size of a watch. very impractical.

Yup, and really 3 days is on the short side.  I think the Pebble gets over a week.  

 

But the fit does almost everything I want it to do.  Heart Rate monitor auto measure would be nice.  And I was against smartwatches altogether.

Just put in an order for the fitbit charge HR. Battery life lasts around 6 days and is the same price as the gearfit.

good news, buddy. i just called the people at future tech and got you put on the wait list to have an internet chip implanted under your skin. that should speed things up for you when you combine it with google glasses and an iwatch.
