I was destroying the "everyone else does it" argument. That usually means it's wrong. Literally the only reason to use your worst reliever first us that you expect to lose and want to get it over with early. Otherwise you would use your best reliever first, and if four innings later you still haven't scored THEN you go with Rasmus. But at least you gave your offense four innings.

I like what Scio sciatica did here by bringing in Santiago. He was going to be skipped in the rotation anyway and he can pitch multiple innings. He could be rested after the game and replace Skaggs in the rotation if need be.
