David Price would be a huge shot in the arm to our team, but the cost may be too high, and the Rays might not even move him since they are back in the hunt for a wild card.

We could use a veteran starter and lefty DH (given Cron's return to earth).

 

Dunn still has an .812 OPS.

 

Danks is a guy who's ERA is inflated by a few bad starts, but most of them are solid ones.

Four starts all year with more than 4 runs allowed, and only two others with 4 runs allowed

We spent $375 million on two players, Pujols and Hamilton. The money was spent in the hope they would help bring us a World Series title. They haven't done their part very well, and they need to step up NOW.

 

Jerry made the necessary moves to fix our bullpen, and he did a great job. We'll live and die with what we have. Making another desperation move at the deadline will not tip the scales, unless it's for someone like Price. And that's probably not going to happen.
