I'm going to come out and say it.  If Jeter has any class at all, he'll decline the starting position at the All-Star game.  I'm not saying this as an Angels fan trying to get Aybar his deserved place, I'm saying this as an Angels fan who doesn't want the hole that Jeter has become at SS to start the game that might potentially mean home field advantage in the World Series.  He can still be at the game, on the bench, waving to the crowd.

I somewhat disagree with you. The fans are the ones voting him in and he is obligated to their request.

I think a inning or two with one AB should keep the fans happy. Then I would love to see Aybar stepping in after Jeter.
